Toshiba taking control of Heaven

The 'Heaven Awaits' gentleman's club in Newmarket has selected theToshiba / Datasym PoS solution with the potential for use in the future as a business management tool.

Supplied by Aufait Systems, the Toshiba ST-70 - which is running Datasym.PoS software - features a small footprint and an integrated touch screen terminal with spill-proof design.

For security, cashier fingerprint sign-on has been added which also limits certain transactions such as voids. It also provides the facility to view real-time sales from the back-office, so the venue's management team has complete visibility of each transaction at all times.

Jason Newell, joint owner with Rob Bell, sees the opportunity to utilise the system further to improve the business and commented: “We plan to use the system for full stock control and also carry out detailed sales analysis of popular lines, peak trends, etc.”

Another area for potential development is customer membership. This could mean Heaven offering its members fingerprint sign-on, to give even tighter controls, removing the need for customers to carry membership cards and enabling the club to reduce costs. The solution also has a facility for table ordering, which could help in improving customer service.

Situated in the heart of the town, Heaven - which opened in April this year - is Newmarket's first lap dancing club.
